Top SchoolRafael Breno is a pragmatic Release Engineer based in São Paulo with seven years of hands-on experience building cloud-native tooling and release automation, currently serving as Release Captain for SUSE’s RKE2 and K3s. A self-taught Go specialist, he automates CI/CD and hardened image pipelines using GitHub Actions, Go, Bash and updatecli, and routinely coordinates across QA, product and dev teams to ship secure releases. His background spans backend and infrastructure roles at startups and enterprises (Nylas, Banco Itaú, The Home Depot), with practical experience in AWS, GCP, Kubernetes and real-time systems. Rafael’s curiosity drives him to explore languages like Haskell and Zig and to tinker with OS development, a side pursuit that informs his thoughtful approach to systems and tooling.
