Summary
🤩
RockstarRafael Ceron is a Principal Software Engineer based in New York with 15+ years building and leading backend-focused, distributed web systems across e-commerce and large enterprise domains. He combines deep JVM expertise (Java, Kotlin, Scala, Spring) with hands-on experience in cloud-native architectures—AWS Lambdas, Kubernetes, Docker—and a proven track record driving microservices and event-driven platforms at Chewy to support global expansion. Rafael has moved between IC and management roles, leading small teams, defining roadmaps, and operationalizing complex checkout and content ecosystems using Scrum and Kanban. His full-stack background includes React/Redux and Node, enabling pragmatic end-to-end designs that bridge frontend needs and backend scale. Comfortable with big data and ML interests, he frequently shapes architecture for high-volume, resilient systems and has a history of shipping production-grade integrations in high-traffic environments. A practical technologist, he pairs legacy-modern migration experience with cloud-first delivery to turn ambiguous product goals into reliable, observable services.
