Rafael Cruz is a Data Engineer with 10 years of experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and Data Lakehouse solutions across Azure and AWS, specializing in PySpark, Scala, Databricks and Kafka for both batch and streaming workloads. Certified by Microsoft and Databricks, he combines hands-on cloud architecture (S3, EMR, Glue, Synapse) and IaC with Terraform with strong SQL modeling and performance tuning. At Inter and previous consultancies he automated workflows with Airflow, implemented CI/CD with GitLab and delivered production-ready data platforms that handle high-volume ingestion and processing. Although classically focused on data engineering, he also has backend Java/PLSQL experience and an iOS developer footprint on GitHub, reflecting a broad engineering versatility rooted in his engineering mechanics and systems development background in Minas Gerais.
