Top SchoolRafael De Lucena Valle is a Senior Backend Engineer based in Santa Catarina, Brazil, with 14+ years of experience building performant, production-ready systems. He has progressed through backend roles at Loadsmart and long-term consultancy work via his own firm flctr, combining startup velocity with disciplined engineering. Rafael’s background spans embedded systems, IoT mesh networking and low-level optimizations—skills he applied to speed-critical projects and even vectorized WebM work on POWERPC. He’s delivered dramatic latency improvements (from minutes to microseconds) and built test and CI infrastructures that hardened complex systems. Comfortable across C/C++, Python, containerized backends and distributed architectures, he bridges firmware-to-cloud concerns when systems require end-to-end thinking. Known for turning research-grade prototypes into reliable services, he brings both hands-on implementation and architectural judgment to solve tricky performance and integration challenges.
