Rafael Mendiola
Summary
👤
SeniorRafael Mendiola is an experienced front-end engineer and entrepreneur with 11 years building cross-platform consumer applications and design systems, now co-founding an AI-native startup in Boston. An MIT computer science graduate, he has led React Native adoption and mobile platform teams at HubSpot and driven design system migrations and tooling at Hinge Health to materially improve developer velocity and app consistency. He combines hands-on engineering—creating codemods, visual codebase analysis tools, and cross-platform libraries—with product-minded leadership across startups and consultancy engagements. Notably, he has repeatedly turned legacy or fragmented codebases into maintainable, high-adoption systems while coaching teams and shaping organizational practices.
