Top SchoolRafael Taranto is a Lead Developer based in Lisbon with 10 years of experience building scalable web and distributed systems using Java, Kotlin and JavaScript. He has led engineering at Lamassu Industries while previously owning backend microservices (BPMN engine, scheduler, AMQP broker) and contributing significant front-end work in AngularJS and React at Hestis. A functional programming enthusiast and open-source lover, he combines pragmatic architecture with hands-on implementation, having developed internal frameworks and mentored teams across government and enterprise projects. Rafael is comfortable across the full stack and in both solo-contributor and leadership roles, often translating complex workflows into reliable, production-ready services. An understated strength is his background in integrating domain-specific systems (BIM/workflow for municipal clients), which reflects his ability to deliver customized, mission-critical platforms.
