Senior🎓
Top SchoolRafayel Mkrtchyan is a product-focused founder and engineering leader with 12 years of experience building data-driven platforms and scaling product organizations across fintech, gambling, and SaaS. As co-founder and former CPO of PlayEngine, he built a highly automated sports-betting stack for regulated operators and raised a $0.5M pre-seed while participating in Berkeley SkyDeck. He now leads a product consultancy that helps banks and telcos become product-driven and advises startups on discovery, growth, and experiment-led roadmaps. A prolific teacher, Rafayel ran Armenia’s largest product programs and helped place over 150 graduates into local and international tech firms, while his Medium articles have exceeded 1M views. He pairs hands-on engineering roots (early roles at Google, BetConstruct, CodeSignal) with a practical emphasis on outcome- and data-driven product practices. Less obvious: he has repeatedly shifted whole organizations—reducing turnover, launching internal academies, and turning engineering investments into measurable business impact.
