Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRahul Malik is a software engineer with 8 years of hands-on experience building and optimizing database systems and distributed storage internals, currently working at Huawei in Trondheim. His background includes significant MySQL/InnoDB work at Oracle and Percona, where he implemented backup optimizations, Azure Blob support, and built Percona pstress — a C++ tool for concurrency and crash-recovery testing. He has deep expertise in C++, Perl, and storage engine tooling, and a track record of improving backup performance and automating regression/crash analysis. A BITS Pilani MTech graduate with earlier experience in embedded C and PL/SQL performance tuning, he combines low-level systems curiosity with practical distributed-database engineering. Notably, he favors building reproducible test tooling that surfaces tricky concurrency bugs rather than just shipping features.
