Summary
👤
SeniorRaik Ilves is an award-winning creative technologist with 14 years of experience designing and building digital products, websites, and scalable design systems. He blends hands-on UI design, programming, and software architecture with practical project leadership, having managed Velvet’s digital department and led cross-functional teams. As a consultant and freelancer he has delivered everything from festival back-office systems and podcast distribution solutions to bespoke personal sites and academic research tools. Raik’s approach is pragmatic and experimental—he treats the digital team as a laboratory for processes and tooling that scale across organizations. Recently he’s been exploring game design and interactive experiences, applying HCI lessons back into mainstream product work. Based in Tartu, Estonia, he uniquely pairs agency-scale delivery experience with a maker’s curiosity for novel interaction design.
