Senior🎓
Top SchoolRaj Chellappan is a full-stack software engineer with nine years of experience building scalable Java and JavaScript systems, currently at Lightspeed Commerce in Toronto. He specializes in Spring Boot microservices and modern front-ends (React/Angular), having led migrations from legacy systems and optimized high-throughput features—once cutting a product publish workflow by 55% and automating indexation of millions of pages to boost SEO. Raj combines hands-on coding with team leadership, having managed backend teams, reviewed large PR volumes, and driven architecture decisions across AWS and containerized platforms. He has a strong performance mindset—delivering sub-200ms APIs and <300ms DB responses—and practical DevOps experience with Docker, CI/CD and Kafka. Outside work he balances rigor with curiosity: he leads student tech initiatives, competes in hackathons, and sums up his approach simply—"I swim. I code. I learn."
