Top SchoolRakshit Majithiya is a Principal Engineer in Residence based in New York with 13 years of experience bootstrapping products, founding startups, and building high-performance mobile and backend systems. He has repeatedly taken ideas from concept to scale—architecting offline-first, low-latency iOS and Android apps and production microservices for consumer products at companies like Islands, Mix, and StumbleUpon. As a co-founder and former CTO, he blends hands-on engineering (Swift, Kotlin, Go, TypeScript, JavaScript) with team-building and product strategy, routinely driving A/B experimentation and data-informed feature decisions. At Expa he now helps spin up companies end-to-end, shaping engineering teams and technical roadmaps for nascent ventures. Notably, his background spans both deep academic work in graph theory and practical wins such as apps featured by major app stores, reflecting a rare mix of research-driven problem solving and product-focused execution.
