Senior🎓
Top SchoolRam Kumar is a Senior Platform Engineer with over a decade of experience building and operating low-latency trading infrastructure across APAC and global markets. He has led co-location, networking and systems design projects for prop trading firms and brokers, tuning colocation setups, PTP time sync, and PXE build/automation to squeeze out performance and reliability gains. Ram combines deep hands-on skills administering thousands of Linux servers with people leadership—mentoring teams, running RCAs for critical incidents, and coordinating vendors and telcos to deliver connectivity. Now based in Tokyo and working at Grasshopper after roles at Jump Trading and AlphaGrep, he brings a practical blend of systems engineering, network optimization and trading-domain sensitivity that helps trading teams preserve hit rates and PnL. An understated strength is his track record of operationalizing infrastructure tooling (from monitoring and PXE-based provisioning to security hardening) that quietly prevents outages and speeds deployments.
