Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRaphael Do Vale is a seasoned technology leader and CTO based in Rio de Janeiro with 12 years of professional experience building and directing backend and frontend systems for the financial sector. He rose through hands-on roles—from Java and .NET developer to team lead and technical lead—before taking executive CTO responsibilities at Quantum and InvestSet, specializing in databases, system analysis and software engineering. He combines academic depth (Master and D.Sc. work in Semantic Web from PUC-Rio) with practical expertise in API design, migration projects (notably Java 6 to Java 8), TDD/BDD adoption and improving developer productivity. A former university instructor in backend, frontend and databases, he’s as comfortable mentoring engineers as he is proposing architectural refactors and new technologies to meet product and budget constraints. Less obvious: his background blends rigorous research-level thinking about semantics with a proven track record of pragmatic, production-focused delivery in regulated financial environments.
