Top SchoolRaphael Koh is a software engineer with nine years of experience building scalable backend and distributed systems, currently at Jane Street in New York. He blends production-grade engineering—shaped by internships at AWS, Microsoft Quantum, Uber, and Scribd—with deep research roots in quantum computing and information theory from work at the Institute for Quantum Computing. Passionate about concurrent and cloud-native architectures, he applies rigorous mathematical thinking from a high-achieving Mathematics & Computer Science degree (92% average) to practical system design and observability. Unusually, he pairs real-world systems experience with active research interests in quantum machine learning, complexity theory, and error correction, positioning him at the intersection of cutting-edge theory and production software.
