Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRaul Butuc is a Senior Software and DevOps Engineer with 11 years of experience building cloud-native, production-grade platforms and resilient distributed systems. He’s a Kubernetes SME (CKA & CKS) who has designed, deployed and operated 30+ on-prem and hybrid clusters, driving THG’s platform from PoC to handling 1M+ requests per minute with flawless Black Friday/Cyber Week uptime. Combining backend engineering (Go, Java, Python, C++) with IaC and GitOps automation (Terraform, Ansible, Helm), he builds self-healing, high-performance infrastructure and developer self-service APIs. Raul also brings hands-on product work—delivering IoT-enabled warehouse automation and an in-house eCommerce stack—so he understands both edge deployment constraints and large-scale SRE practices. Based in the UK and founder/CEO of Alien Software on GitHub, he pairs entrepreneurial initiative with deep operational discipline, particularly around observability and zero-trust security.
