Senior🎓
Top SchoolRaul Geana is a seasoned technology leader with 11 years of hands-on engineering experience and more than a decade building products across Europe and in startups. Currently Managing Director and Director of Engineering at Haufe Group, he combines executive leadership with deep technical roots as a former CTO and chief architect. He has co-founded startups, launched multiple products, and overseen platform architecture, team coaching, and technical decision-making from prototype to production. Raul’s background spans full-stack systems, search and data engineering (Solr, MySQL, Cassandra), and operational responsibilities like sysadmin and replication—skills honed while running small teams and shipping three startups. Based in Timișoara, Romania, he brings entrepreneurial grit and a willingness to re-enter hands-on technical work when needed, making him equally comfortable setting strategy or diving into architecture. An uncommon strength is his track record of bridging startup agility with enterprise delivery, translating early-stage product lessons into scalable engineering practices.
