Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRay Cardillo is a hands-on senior engineering leader with over two decades of experience building and managing high-performing software teams, currently leading engineering at Couchbase from Orlando. He combines deep architecture and implementation experience—from roles at Oracle, Nortel, and the Air Force Research Laboratory to Principal Engineer and management positions at Verizon Media—with a track record of turning research and consulting into production systems. Ray is entrepreneurial (founder of Cardillo's Creations and president of business operations at Tough Love Salon), bringing both product instincts and operational rigor to technical strategy. He stays technically curious outside work—experimenting with Flutter/Dart, Lua, Raspberry Pi, Arduino and other embedded platforms—which informs his pragmatic, cross-disciplinary approach to engineering.
