🤩
RockstarRay Chen is a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft with 11 years of hands-on engineering experience and a strong track record of shipping robust C++ and WinRT platform improvements. He pairs program leadership with deep backend engineering chops, contributing bug fixes, performance improvements, and API hardening to high-profile Microsoft open-source projects like cppwinrt, WIL, and xlang. His work shows a focus on compatibility, memory-safety, and developer ergonomics—addressing race conditions, move-correctness, and ABI safety in core libraries used across Windows development. Ray also bridges front-end and back-end concerns, contributing to Universal Windows Platform samples in multiple languages, which reflects a pragmatic full-stack perspective uncommon in program management roles. Based in Bellevue, WA, he brings pragmatic code-level credibility to cross-team program delivery and developer experience initiatives.
