Ray Lc is an interdisciplinary assistant professor and creative technologist who fuses neuroscience, design, and HCI to craft narrative environments that shape human–machine bonds. With a PhD from UCLA and an MFA from Parsons, he brings 11 years of research-led practice spanning social robotics, interactive installation, and computational neuroscience, with work shown at venues from Ars Electronica to SIGGRAPH Asia and published in CHI and CSCW. He bridges lab rigor and public-facing art: early electrophysiology and optogenetics studies inform projects that read gesture and emotion to drive responsive systems. Founder of the Studio for Narrative Spaces and a founding member of VRbal, Ray translates complex neural findings into evocative, usable interactions—living, as he jokes, by his own code—from his base on Hong Kong Island.
