Rebecca Cottrell is a Lead Interaction Designer with 12 years’ experience designing inclusive, usable public-sector and consumer products, currently leading the managing vaccinations in schools service at NHS England. She blends product thinking with hands-on prototyping and front-end development, having contributed full-stack UI work to high-profile open-source projects like the GOV.UK Prototype Kit. A former senior designer at Government Digital Service, she led cross-government efforts on critical priorities (including coronavirus and cost-of-living responses) and founded a Planet-centred Design community to embed sustainability into design practice. Rebecca runs her own design studio, mentoring teams to raise design maturity and integrate accessibility and inclusiveness into delivery. Her background in HCI, visual communication and UX for platforms from Google to Twitter gives her a rare mix of research-led empathy and practical execution. Colleagues describe her as a steady leader who pairs policy-scale impact with craft-level attention to interfaces.
