Senior🎓
Top SchoolRebecca Hill is a Principal Engineer based in London with 11 years of experience specialising in JavaScript across front-end React ecosystems and Node backends, and eight years leading full‑stack teams at both technical and people levels. She has driven large architectural transitions—migrating monoliths to TypeScript microservices on AWS Lambda/DynamoDB and introducing a new primary identifier for property at Zoopla—while cutting deploy times from nearly two hours to 15 minutes. Formerly an engineering manager at WeTransfer, she blends hands‑on delivery and team strategy, having overseen product-critical integrations like Stripe billing and LaunchDarkly experimentation. An experienced international speaker and community advocate, she’s passionate about front‑end performance, accessibility and mentoring early‑career engineers, particularly women. Notably, she combines deep technical ownership with operational wins that free up developer time at scale.
