Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand
Summary
👤
SeniorRebecca Powell is a Solutions Architect with 13 years of progressive software engineering and technical leadership experience at Bank of New Zealand, specialising in .NET, microservices, CQRS/DDD and Azure. She combines hands-on architecture and team leadership—moving from service desk and support roles into enterprise technical lead and current solutions architect—to deliver pragmatic, auditable systems and improve SDLC practices. Rebecca is customer-focused and skilled at aligning delivery with business goals, with a track record of driving process improvements, estimation and design standardisation across large teams. A proud trans woman and active advocate for diversity and inclusion, she has contributed to BNZ’s Diversity & Inclusion Council and brings inclusion as a practical lens to technical and organisational change. Less obvious: her early career in frontline support and consultancy gives her rare empathy for operational handover and production support challenges that inform her architectural decisions.
