Reece Tamashiro is a software engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience building full-stack web products, currently shaping discovery and organization features for Confluence at Atlassian. An MIT computer science undergraduate, he brings a strong UI/UX and graphics sensibility from roles at Meta (music creation features on React/Hack) and earlier full-stack work at Rev.com using .NET, React, and SQL. He combines product-focused front-end craftsmanship with backend pragmatism, having shipped features across consumer and enterprise surfaces. Based in Seattle, Reece is motivated by creating functional yet beautiful products and approaches problems with a researcher’s curiosity—apt for prototyping novel interfaces and bridging design to production. Despite a compact GitHub presence, his career trajectory reflects rapid growth through impactful teams and complex codebases.
