Rehan Butt
Summary
🤩
RockstarRehan Butt is a Senior Product Designer with 11 years of experience crafting tools and experiences for filmmakers, healthcare, sports, and consumer advocacy, currently leading design at Walt Disney Animation Studios. He blends hands-on interaction design and engineering collaboration to translate advanced graphics and complex domain needs into intuitive, artist- and clinician-focused tools, having also led zero-to-one product efforts and a successful exit at UPMC Enterprises. A Carnegie Mellon-trained tangibles specialist and co-founder of design studio DzgnIO, Rehan balances pragmatic product thinking with playful aesthetics and a bias toward building design systems and scalable processes. He’s taught and consulted on design education, mentors teams, and brings global travel and photography-informed cultural insight to his work—often prototyping with code, illustration, and even woodworking to explore physical-digital interactions.
