Top SchoolRehan Syed is a UX leader with 12 years of experience shaping research and product experiences across Elsevier’s AI-enabled platforms, now leading design for Mendeley from Amsterdam. He blends hands-on front-end engineering background with strategic UX practice—setting design systems, measurement funnels and company-wide UX frameworks—to improve adoption and ROI. His career spans regional internet infrastructure products at RIPE NCC, where he led usability research, analytics-driven funnels and cross-department initiatives across Europe, the Middle East and Russia. Rehan mentors design teams and consults for startups, translating technical constraints into elegant, measurable interfaces. He holds multiple Nielsen Norman Group certifications in UX research, design and management, and is known for connecting deep technical empathy with pragmatic product strategy. An underrated strength: his experience running analytics and A/B testing alongside design means he ships decisions that are both user-centered and outcome-focused.
