Senior🎓
Top SchoolReiner Jung is a project manager and researcher with 11+ years bridging digital transformation, domain-specific languages and research software engineering to make scientific workflows more interoperable and usable. He has led projects at Kiel University—translating stakeholder interviews and domain analysis into tools for ocean and earth system modeling—and now applies that experience to public-sector digital initiatives at Land Schleswig-Holstein. His background combines deep technical work on metamodels, models@runtime and simulation tooling with practical process design for diverse teams across science, engineering and administration. Reiner’s work emphasizes making the non-digital parts of research discoverable and connected (FAIR-oriented), and he often tackles the semantic and workflow gaps that aren’t obvious in typical data-focused projects. He is based in Kiel, Germany, and brings a practitioner’s mindset to aligning research needs with maintainable, domain-aware software.
