Senior🎓
Top SchoolRemington Brasga is a seasoned Software Defined Storage engineer with over a decade of hands-on experience building and optimizing storage software, NVMe subsystems, and automated test/CI pipelines. With a B.S. and M.S. from UC Irvine and senior engineering roles at KIOXIA and HGST, he blends low-level systems expertise in C/C++ and Rust with productive Python tooling that powers real-world automation and high-traffic personal projects. He’s comfortable across software and hardware boundaries—having developed storage APIs, managed prototype data centers, and led architecture discussions—while also contributing accepted patches to the Linux kernel through the Linux Foundation mentorship. Known for tackling vague requirements and shipping pragmatic solutions, he pairs deep technical rigor with a track record of security research and open-source collaboration.
