Top SchoolRemzi Aksoy is a software engineer with 12 years of experience, currently building resilient services on Apple’s iCloud Platform from the San Francisco Bay Area. His background blends rigorous research—co-authoring an SOSP paper on replication correctness and throughput improvements—with hands-on production work on high-performance PostgreSQL extensions used by companies like Algolia. He holds top academic credentials (valedictorian at Bilkent, a 4.0 MS at Michigan) and has implemented privacy-preserving and approximate-query systems using homomorphic techniques and sketching. Comfortable bridging research and production, he has repeatedly turned distributed-systems insights into scalable, low-latency implementations deployed at scale. An unexpected thread through his career is his early medical studies, reflecting a capacity for disciplined, cross-domain thinking.
