Top SchoolRenan Alencar is a Java backend developer with around 3 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining mission-critical public safety systems at the Secretaria de Defesa Social de Pernambuco. He designs and implements RESTful microservices (Java 11–21, Spring Boot), message-driven integrations (RabbitMQ), distributed caching (Redis) and resilient APIs that synchronize state between state and national systems. Notable achievements include slashing a cadaver identification backend latency from ~25s to 400ms and adding rate-limiting protections to high-traffic endpoints, demonstrating a strong focus on performance, stability and security in production. As a technical lead he guides architecture, coding standards and code reviews, balancing pragmatic delivery with governance for high-availability environments. With academic work toward a PhD in Computer Engineering and a background spanning military service and product/marketing roles, he brings a rare mix of disciplined operational experience and product-minded engineering. Renan is seeking mid-level Java roles in domains that value resilient integrations, quality code and systems engineering, such as financial services.
