Top SchoolRenan Proença is a pragmatic Software Engineer from São Paulo with 8 years of experience and a 6+ year focus on Ruby on Rails, shipping backend systems for finance, HR and e‑commerce. He’s worked across the lifecycle from MVP to production, driving API design, TDD with RSpec, and migrations from monoliths toward microservices while improving error handling and automation for clients. Comfortable with PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Redis, Docker and AWS/Heroku, he pairs strong engineering discipline (DDD, UML, Rails Engines) with hands‑on operational skills like job queuing and deploy pipelines. Renan repeatedly brings quality-first delivery under tight timelines, often leading design discussions and documentation efforts (Swagger/POSTMAN) that reduce production surprises. A background in mentoring and immersive bootcamps informs his collaborative style and attention to clean, testable code.
