Senior🎓
Top SchoolRenaud Sirdey is a Research Director at CEA, Université Paris-Saclay with over two decades of experience translating advanced cryptography into practical systems, specializing in fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) and its integration with privacy and trustworthy-AI techniques. He leads and coordinates national and EU projects, co-originated the open-source Cingulata FHE compiler, and has driven work on efficient FHE operators, hardware acceleration, programmable bootstrapping, threshold FHE and secure genomic processing. Academically prolific, he is co-author of 100+ peer-reviewed publications and holds more than 20 patents, blending theoretical depth with hands-on tool and compiler development. His background in combinatorial optimization and many-core compiler design informs novel approaches to optimizing Boolean circuits and transciphering for FHE. He actively mentors students, engages in public outreach on cryptography, and balances research with endurance sports—logging thousands of kilometers per year running and cycling, a testament to his discipline and stamina.
