Senior🎓
Top SchoolRene Nederhand is an experienced technologist and data solutions architect with over 20 years of experience designing and deploying big data, personalization and enterprise search systems for clients like RTL, Universal Music and Gemeente Amsterdam. He combines hands-on engineering (Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP) with product-minded leadership, guiding projects from concept to production and continuously iterating toward user needs. As Managing Partner at Primed.io and former Data Solutions Architect at MN, he built cloud-native, data-centric platforms and regulatory value-add applications (AIFMD, SFDR, ESG) that translate data into actionable business outcomes. Rene is comfortable leading distributed teams under uncertainty and has a track record of trust-building and pragmatic delivery across international clients. His background spans academia to startups—including a PhD in molecular sciences and early bioinformatics work—giving him uncommon depth in both data science and systems engineering. Outside tech he actively sails and teaches, reflecting a practical, solution-oriented mindset both on the water and in complex technical environments.
