Top SchoolReval Govender is a Lead Software Engineer with over a decade of commercial experience building and modernising backend systems for companies like MADE.COM, Jaguar/Land Rover clients, Vestiaire Collective and Global Radio. He specialises in Python and Django architectures, migrating monoliths to scalable services, and integrating complex banking and event-driven systems while maintaining strong test coverage and observability. A pragmatic technical leader, he has repeatedly reduced system complexity and latency (for example cutting monolith API code size dramatically) and led documentation and onboarding improvements that accelerate team delivery. Outside work he’s a prolific creator of educational content—his StudyStream+ channel has millions of views and has been adopted by schools—bringing a rare combination of engineering depth, mentorship, and public-facing teaching to his teams.
