Cupertino, California, United States
Summary
🤩
RockstarRex Wang is a seasoned product marketing leader focused on cloud, database, virtualization, management systems, and operating systems, currently serving as VP Product Marketing at Oracle. With a decade of experience and a background that spans high-performance research and developer ecosystems, he blends technical depth with go-to-market strategy for complex infrastructure products. Previously active in open science and developer communities (Broad Institute, Human Cell Atlas, Taichi development), he brings a data-and-backend-first mindset to product positioning and developer adoption. Now working in a stealth quantitative hedge fund, he pairs quantitative rigor with product intuition—an uncommon bridge between trading-driven engineering and enterprise cloud platforms. Based in Cupertino, he is known for translating low-level technical trade-offs into compelling value propositions for both engineering and executive audiences.
