Reza Haydarlou is an assistant professor in bioinformatics and a senior IT architect whose career bridges enterprise architecture, security, and cutting-edge computational biology. He brings over two decades of experience designing large-scale architectures for financial institutions and public sector organizations while advancing deep-learning and NLP research on protein interactions and cancer literature at VU Amsterdam. Reza uniquely combines hands-on system design (SOA, microservices, BPM, RPA, Azure) with academic rigor—publishing models for antibody–antigen interactions and multiple deep-learning PPI predictors in Bioinformatics. At UWV he authored a uniform security architecture and led future-state and data-ontology modelling efforts, advising teams on secure migrations and RPA adoption. His current research blends semantic-web ontologies, OWL reasoning and context-aware NLP to create nano-publications and improve biological knowledge integration. Fluent in turning complex, regulated requirements into auditable, production-ready solutions, he thrives at the intersection of enterprise engineering and computational life sciences.
