Top SchoolRhys White is a software engineer based in London with 11 years of experience building web and full‑stack applications, currently contributing to educational technology at Discovery Education. He blends strong PHP, MySQL and Vue skills with a polyglot background in Ruby and JavaScript, informed by a Creative Computing degree and practical teaching experience in C++ and JavaScript. His Ethical Hacking certification shapes a security-first approach to development, helping deliver functional, user-centered features that also consider resilience and risk. Previously he built and extended WordPress sites at BIG TEK LTD, routinely adding custom code when themes fell short, which honed his pragmatic problem-solving and rapid iteration skills. At Discovery Education he focuses on collaboration and innovation to improve experiences for educators and learners, translating product needs into maintainable systems. Outside day-to-day engineering he enjoys bridging front-end UX concerns with back-end reliability, a perspective not always obvious from his stack list alone.
