Top SchoolRicardo Álvarez is a Head of Web Development based in Madrid with 11 years of experience building and scaling frontend teams and products. He combines a designer’s eye for refined visuals with engineering rigor, specializing in React and TypeScript while also bringing practical experience migrating large SPAs from Angular.js and working with Vue. Ricardo focuses on autonomy, pragmatic documentation, integration testing, and lean engineering cultures that align product, engineering, and business goals. He has driven measurable improvements—cutting build times dramatically, expanding design system adoption across hundreds of engineers, and improving core web vitals through bundle and tooling optimizations. Comfortable leading tiger teams and cross-functional initiatives, he balances hands-on delivery with strategic tech-stack decisions favoring community-backed tools like TailwindCSS.
