Lead Software Engineer at Sportingtech
Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolRicardo Baumann is a software engineering consultant and manager with 17+ years of experience and a proven track record designing high-throughput, resilient distributed systems for global financial, IoT and retail platforms. He combines hands-on Java/Kotlin microservice architecture expertise (Spring Boot, Kafka, RabbitMQ) with people leadership—building teams, career paths and onboarding processes that scale. Ricardo has repeatedly migrated monoliths to event-driven, CQRS-based services and engineered solutions to handle millions of concurrent requests with graceful degradation. Equally at home defining technical strategy and writing production code, he excels in asynchronous data flows, distributed transactions and pragmatic resilience patterns. Based in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, he blends consultant-driven best-practice evangelism with an engineer’s attention to code quality and operational detail. A less obvious strength is his repeated role as the bridge between legacy systems and next-gen platforms, keeping both in sync while minimizing business risk.
