Top SchoolRicardo Carvalho is a Senior Software Engineer based in São Paulo with 7 years of hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance back-end systems, primarily using Elixir and Phoenix. He has delivered production banking and financial infrastructure—working on Pix, DICT, and ISO 20022 messaging—in collaboration with Brazil’s Central Bank, and has driven observability and resilience with tools like Oban and OpenTelemetry. His background spans fintech (Stone, Swap), consultancy (Accenture), and product teams, where he optimized concurrency and parallelism for large-scale scanning and messaging workloads. Combining a Systems Analysis degree with ongoing studies in Mathematics, he pairs practical engineering with a strong theoretical bent, often favoring efficiency and protocol-driven designs. An engineer who quietly focuses on regulatory-grade reliability, he brings both domain expertise in payments and a continual appetite for deepening his technical foundations.
