Senior🎓
Top SchoolRicardo De Sousa is a seasoned technology leader with 12+ years driving large-scale digital and AI transformations across Brazil’s banking and financial services sector. Currently Head of AI Architecture and Technology Superintendent at Itaú Unibanco, he combines deep systems engineering roots—from Linux on System z and data center design—to strategic cloud, SRE and DevOps adoption at enterprise scale. He has held senior technology strategist and CTO roles at Microsoft and IBM, where he led cloud migrations, incident response models (ERT) and frameworks for legacy modernization that balanced velocity with stability. A community builder, he co-founded SRE Brasil to democratize SRE knowledge in Portuguese, growing a 5,000+ member network and producing open educational content. His background in economics and management information systems, plus executive education from Harvard Business School, gives him a rare blend of technical depth and business acumen. Not obvious from titles: he started as a hands-on Linux/mainframe engineer and still frames architecture decisions through operational realism and incident-driven learnings.
