Top SchoolRicardo Gonçalves is a founder and software engineer with 14 years of experience building performant, production-ready systems from embedded devices to cloud deployments. He designs and implements end-to-end solutions—front-end TypeScript/React UIs and back-end services in Go and Java—emphasising simplicity, optimisation and scalability (his self-hosted Photo Gallery handles 200K+ photos on a Raspberry Pi). He has led architecture modernisations, containerisation and CI/CD adoption across organisations, and built authentication platforms integrating Keycloak with smartcards, YubiKey and mobile authenticators. Comfortable in research and product roles, he has delivered R&D systems (automatic signature verification) and commercial features while mentoring teams and improving documentation. Practical, perfectionist and hands-on, he pairs deep algorithmic and OS knowledge with a knack for turning complex requirements into elegant, maintainable solutions.
