Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolRicardo Simões is a senior software engineer with nine years of experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native integrations. He has designed and shipped high-throughput REST and Elixir APIs at PagerDuty and developed DRM-focused microservices at Sky Technology Centre that served millions of concurrent users. Comfortable across Java, Kotlin, Elixir, Docker, and Kubernetes, he couples system design and observability (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana) with strong CI/CD practices. Ricardo often takes full ownership of projects from conception to production, writing guides and tests to raise team standards. An "old school" tech mingler and fullstack-meets-DevOps generalist, he blends hands-on coding with operational know-how and a knack for automating monitoring and alerts. Based in Ílhavo, Portugal, he’s motivated by tackling high-impact, real-world backend challenges in collaborative environments.
