Top SchoolRicardo V is a Data Platform Engineering Manager with 12 years of experience building and leading cross-border engineering teams across Europe, the US and Latin America. He combines hands-on engineering with people leadership, having architected cost-optimized streaming and batch data pipelines across AWS, GCP and Kubernetes and cut costs by ~80% during a major cloud migration. His work spans master data management, data quality, BigQuery, Airflow, Kafka and GenAI enhancements using VertexAI and BigQueryML, enabling fast, low-cost feature delivery for product teams. A natural mentor and communicator, he’s experienced in remote-first environments and in growing teams while promoting continuous improvement and healthy work–life balance. Notably, he moves between strategy and implementation—rebuilding pipelines himself when needed—and focuses on making data science workflows production-ready. Based in Düsseldorf, he brings practical curiosity and a track record of pragmatic solutions that balance technical excellence with cost and governance.
