He leads evidence-driven landscaping, gap analysis and programme design work that translates research insights into practical funding mechanisms, from venture builders to global prizes. His projects span digital mental health translation, lived-experience inclusion, and policy mapping on online harms, and he has worked directly with funders such as Wellcome, UKRI and Nesta. Richard combines an Oxford Human Sciences background with earlier hands-on software development experience, giving him a rare mix of technical fluency and research strategy expertise.
