Senior🎓
Top SchoolRichard Blechinger is a freelance software engineer and owner with over a decade of experience designing and maintaining complex web and backend systems for clients across Austria and Germany. He specializes in PHP (Symfony, Laravel), C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with deep expertise in backend architecture and thorny legacy integrations—including IBM DB2/AS400 environments most developers avoid. Richard has led long-term, remote engagements with full technical ownership, delivering systems like a real-time pricing engine for 150,000+ vehicles and a Java API that brought a 40-year-old ERP online. He also has hands-on e-commerce and payments experience (Magento, Shopware, WooCommerce, Wirecard) and has shipped a successful Vue/Electron product, Notebag, before open-sourcing it. Comfortable running both greenfield projects and migrations of massive legacy footprints, he combines pragmatic problem-solving with an appetite for technically risky integrations. Based in Graz, he’s open to new remote engagements where he can take end-to-end responsibility.
