Top SchoolRichard Davis is a seasoned chief architect and engineering leader with 10+ years driving reliability, security, and developer velocity for fintech platforms from Singapore. He combines hands-on systems work—migrating build systems to Bazel, moving services from Spring to Rust, and redesigning ledgers around TigerBeetle—with organizational changes like squad coordination, canary release pipelines, and cost reductions. Richard has repeatedly reduced operational risk (90% authorization load reduction, 90% fewer false fraud alerts) and scaled teams and infrastructure across payments, remittances, lending, and data platforms. His background spans academia and industry—from publishing HCI research and teaching large courses to founding a consulting firm and shipping mission-critical banking systems—giving him a rare mix of research rigor and product-focused execution. Notably, he led migrations that cut build times 10x and eliminated internal downtime by switching core databases and processes, showing a bias for measurable impact.
