Top SchoolRichard Harriman is a Senior Staff Engineer based in Vienna, VA, with over a decade of hands-on experience building high-performance web applications and observability systems. He has led cross-team initiatives at Medallia to visualize page performance end-to-end, porting client-side observability into back-end tracing stacks like OpenTelemetry, Tempo, and Faro. Richard combines deep front-end expertise (React, TypeScript) with metrics and logging tooling (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus) to reduce debugging time and surface customer-impacting regressions. Earlier roles at Oracle/Eloqua and startups saw him ship web and mobile experiences, found an engineering office, and build high-throughput systems including an email platform handling millions of messages. He pairs a mathematics background with practical engineering instincts, favoring instrumented, data-driven approaches to performance problems. Colleagues rely on him for turning complex diagnostics into actionable dashboards and measurable customer outcomes.
