Senior🎓
Top SchoolRichard Huang is a Production Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area with 11 years of experience building reliable, scalable systems across research and industry, currently focused on productionizing AI at Meta. He has a strong backend and systems pedigree from roles at Facebook/Meta and Niantic, plus academic research at UC Berkeley working on contact tracing, indoor localization, and containerized ML serving systems. Comfortable across the full stack, Richard has built compilers, stream-processing test frameworks, automated deployments with Ansible, and stateful FaaS-backed model platforms—skills that marry low-level engineering with ML infrastructure. Early leadership in robotics and campus tech operations shows he’s as practiced at running large, failure-resistant systems as he is at shipping features. Notably, he’s solved thorny portability and heterogeneity problems in sensing and deployed production-grade server backends for research projects, blending academic rigor with product delivery.
