Director at Webforward
Tamworth, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorRichard Leishman is a seasoned technology founder and Director with over two decades of hands-on programming experience, leading Webforward since 2006 to deliver custom systems and digital transformation for clients from Tamworth and Cardiff. He combines deep technical roots—starting with game development on the Commodore Amiga and early Linux/sysadmin work—with practical web and backend expertise in PHP, MySQL, Laravel, WordPress and Shopify. Richard’s agency specialises in streamlining business processes through bespoke internal systems that reduce staffing overhead and boost profitability while also delivering brand and marketing-led growth. He remains an active coder and open-source advocate, bringing a developer’s mindset to leadership and product strategy. Noteworthy but less obvious: his career began managing competitive game servers and building SEO-focused web pages as a teenager, which seeded a lasting focus on performance, reliability and user experience. Based in the UK, he blends entrepreneurial grit with technical craft to turn complex requirements into pragmatic, revenue-driving solutions.
