Top SchoolRichard Nicholl is a Cloud Solutions Architect with 11+ years of experience bridging embedded and telecom systems engineering into modern cloud and hybrid architectures. He combines deep hands-on skills in C, Perl, shell scripting, XSLT and PostgreSQL with practical cloud product expertise across AWS, Azure and Google for NetApp customers, driving POCs and architecture reviews. His background spans firmware and mobile operator customization at Sony Ericsson and Motorola—where he led configuration management and embedded feature development—giving him rare end-to-end visibility from device software to cloud storage. Bilingual in Spanish and trained in electrical engineering at NC State, he frequently translates complex operator requirements into repeatable labs, training, and deployable solutions. Colleagues rely on him for clear technical teaching and repeatable hybrid-cloud designs that grew from his prior role building global instructor-led and self-paced learning for cloud-first products.
